GURASOEN ETXEA (2007)
Portugalete and Sestao Waterfront – Basque Country

Steel – 12,5 Tons. 7 X 10 X 4 meters
Within a program of the Basque Government for historical memory, this sculpture pays tribute to the freedoms of the Basque people. In the Basque country, the tree has a sacred meaning; under the older trees, elders met together to decide on all kinds of issues; it is an old version of parliament. This sculpture, named in Basque, THE PARENT ́S HOUSE, refers to this sense of respect for the word and freedoms.
